My Intorduction to design

Truthfully speaking i dont think i would have a digital visual diary (Blog) if not for my lecturer MR. DEEPAK MENON who taught and committed us to creating one and i am finding it so much fun. His very creative blog inspired me in so many ways even though i may not be anywhere near there anytime soon.

He teaches me introduction to design: this is a course that initiates into the principles and elements of design and it is a preparation to advanced graphic design just as stated on deepak's blog.

Having to pick a reference artist who i am to analyse and study their element and principles of design which includes their balance and harmony.

There are quite a lot of artist to refer to in the likes of DIETER ROTH (a.k.a Diter Rot) the German political scientist who was born in 1930,  was an icelandic artist of swiss german origin who was well know for his artist books and sculptures and pictures made of rotten food.
Below is a  sculpt made in  1968: foodstuffs, including yoghurt, and screw and wire on blue panel, covered in plaster and left to rot.

VINCENT VAN GOGH a Dutch post impressionist painter born in 1853, he was a well respected artist of his time with his artwork depicting rough beauty, emotional honesty and bold colour. he shot himself out of depression after a long battle with mental illness. Funny enough he sold only one painting in his life but the impact of his artwork is really amazing.
Below is one of his most influential piece of artwork.

LORNE BEUG born in 1948 bred and studied in regina, Canada. Studied Psychology at the university of Regina.his artwork was influences by his academic background a great deal he worked with corals, ceramics and later shifted to photo collage. one of his works "patterned Ground" was commissioned at the fieldhouse in regina Canada.
